Vegware is the UK’s first and only completely compostable food packaging firm. All of Vegware’s award-winning catering disposables are low-carbon, plastic-free and completely compostable, made of annually-renewable or recycled eco materials. The greenest food packaging on the market, 100% of Vegware’s core range has third partycompostability certification.
After use, Vegware can simply go in the food waste bin and and get composted into nutrient-rich fertilizer in around 6-8 weeks, which is cheaper and greener than clogging up landfill. Vegware even helps any UK business find local food recycling services for free through the Vegware Composting Network.
Using Vegware saves carbon and virgin materials – in 2010, all Vegware’s clients put together saved over 110 tonnes of carbon and 100 tonnes of virgin materials. It’s no surprise that Vegware won Best New Product in the 2011 Climate Week Awards.
Vegware supports grassroots sustainability projects through the Vegware Community Fund so every Vegware customer is supporting a wide range of UK non-profits. These include an Edinburgh children’s orchard, horticultural therapy in Derbyshire, or hardy Welsh cyclists who deliver local veg come rain or shine.
